MA
The Western Massachusetts Health Equity Network seeks regional strategies and opportunities to create conditions in which communities are able to attain the highest level of health for all residents. To eliminate preventable inequities our work areas include policy, addressing racial justice and working across sectors. In 2022 The WMHEN commissioned Holyoke filmmaker Michelle Falcon Fontanez to make a film highlighting western MA community members discussing the intersection of racism and health.
The Film, Mosaic, will premiere at six western MA cultural venues this spring 2022. The film will be shown at a multifaceted evening of transformational inspiration, including storytelling, live performance, film screening, site-specific cultural exploration, breaking bread, and intergenerational conversations on racism and community health in our region.
