Institution/Business Type: Arts Center

My name is Richard Richardson and I am the creator and caretaker of the Three Sisters Sanctuary. As an environmental artist, nature is my medium. I use stones, plants, water and the land itself to create.

I’ve been living in the Land of Goshen, Massachusetts for the past 43 years. Destiny lead me to Goshen, Massachusetts from New Jersey in the early 1970’s. I instantly knew this is where I would lay down my roots.

Come explore one of Massachusetts best kept secrets and experience the magic of this living, whimsical place where art and nature merge. Three Sisters Sanctuary is Environmental Art at its best combined with majestic sculpture gardens.

Explore 8- acres of accessible perennial, stone and water gardens combined with art installations that have been built over the last 25 years.

  • Art glass, mosaics, metal sculpture, straw art and much more
  • Expansive perennial gardens feature over 250 large standing stones and sculptures
  • 80- foot mosaic fire breathing dragon!
  • Stone amphitheater
  • Endless photographic opportunities

Located in the hills of Western Massachusetts less than an hour from Springfield and the Berkshires and just 30 minutes from one of America’s top small arts towns Northampton. A relaxing and inspiring day trip for visitors of all ages. From all major routes, there are unique small arts town to explore, shop and dine in along the way.

We welcome individualsgroups and are avenue for events and ceremonies as well. Please contact us with any questions or inquiries.
