STRAW DOG WRITERS GUILD

  • M

    MA

Institution/Business Type: Guild / Union / Professional Association

The mission of the Straw Dog Writers Guild is to support the writing community in Western Massachusetts by strengthening, engaging, and connecting writers at all levels of development.  In 2010, the Guild formed as a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to the craft and transformative power of writing, serving writers by promoting individual growth, community outreach and enrichment, and community building.

Programs include craft workshops, open mics and readings, writing residencies, the Emerging Writer Fellowship, scholarships, networking, and social gatherings.

Join us at Greenfield Community College on October 18, 2025, for the second annual WriteAngles Writers Conference. It's a day-long event with a keynote (Franny Choi) and a full day of panels, roundtable discussions, and workshops, culminating in an open mic: www.writeanglesconference.com.
