Institution/Business Type: Artist / Creative (Individual)

StoneWorks is a Boston-based production company focused on creating innovative narrative dance work for stage and screen. Under the direction of non-binary polymath artist Holly Stone, StoneWorks is committed to finding new ways to bring magic to life through dance. Holly’s movement backgrounds in ballet, contemporary/modern, and ballroom dance allow them to move seamlessly between genres and challenge expectations of gender and partnership. Their original story ballet THE QUEEN OF NÖRI has been presented by the Dance Complex, the Starlight Stage, and the Boston Center for the Arts. We believe in the power of ‘what if?’ and through StoneWorks strives to bring ballet, ballroom, and theatrical dance into the 21st century through original stories, humane business practices, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. As an organization, StoneWorks aims to create a space where all people feel welcome to share their stories and create stage magic, through equitable pay, business transparency, and open communication.
