VT
One might say that Small Batch has been 40 years in the making. As a formally educated and trained designer, I have worked as a graphic, landscape, urban, and industrial. Combining my experience as a designer with over 50 years of sewing experience, I decided to launch the Small Batch Design Company to represent the best of Vermont textiles by combining interesting products, superior craftsmanship, stunning colorways yet always "Vermont" practical.
My specialty is handbags and home goods made from the highest quality cottons and hardware. I like cotton because it is vegan and fully biodegradable. My trimmings are also cotton and my zippers and bag hardware are always made from metal, never plastics or polys.
I prefer to hand dye my canvas to create gorgeous colorways, which are nothing like commercially dyed fabrics. The depth of color is....luscious! I then like to combine colors for high visual impact. Special details such as pockets and topstitching add to the very distinctive look.
