RI Kids Create Music School

Gail Cavanaugh has been teaching piano for over ten years to children in the community centers and schools in Newport, RI.  She sang for three years on a praise and worship team at Word of Life Church in Cranston, RI and studied a year of piano at the Hartt School of Music.  She has been involved with the schools as a substitute teacher.  She is a published writer, having authored two books.  One is a children's book entitled, Beyond My Imagination, available on Amazon and Barnes and Nobles.

She gives private piano lessons in homes to children ages six and up.  After twelve lessons, the child should be ready for a recital.  She offers the Learn to Play Piano Chords Workshop where adults can learn how to play piano without the benefit of years to learn.  The workshop is very intensive eight-week program and designed for those who want to learn how to compose music, improvise or play praise and worship music in the churches.

In 2015, Gail started a choir of students from the ACE School who sang at the Providence Bruins Game.  We are recruiting more children for this great opportunity and have been invited to make it a yearly event.

The school is always looking for piano teachers, and musicians, as well as performers who are ready to meet needs for performance, organizing bands, or teaching opportunities at your school, organization, or in the studio.
