I Have Worked With

New Inca Son

Performing Group

Date: 02/2015-02/2015

New Inca Son is a wonderful professional folk group that teaches about the Andean culture through hands-on workshops and performances. We have known about this group since the mid-1990s, and in 2015 we finally had the great pleasure of having them work with our youth program in Providence.

Surcari

Performing Group

Date: 08/2014-08/2014

Lorena provided a wonderful two-hour workshop to our youth program about Puerto Rican culture, which included music and history. She also performed a community concert accompanied by local Latino musicians from Rhode Island. She is an amazing cuatro musician!

Lydia Perez

Artist / Creative (Individual)

Date: 12/1994-12/2023

Lydia Perez is a partner artist with our organization since the mid-1990s and we have collaborated on a number of activities and events in RI. In 2013, Lydia with her Yoruba2 group formed a close partnership with RI Latino Arts in an effort to provide much-needed on-going relevant cultural programs to young people in Rhode Island.
