Portrait photography is my passion! My goal when shooting portraits is to bring to the surface that which is deep within, the inherent beauty and raw qualities of my subject. It brings me great joy to create scenes for fantasy and fine art portraits and to bring to life your vision for the shoot.

My current body of conceptual work embraces layers of experience, deep seated emotion, and complexity of thought. It is about our struggles, our fears, vulnerability, and life-changing events. The imagery encourages introspection and reflection; gently allowing one to fully feel the depth of experiences often too difficult to express. It gives the viewer voice. This photographic narrative acts a a prompt to express one’s own personal story. 

The method with which I visually express emotion is strongly connected to the idea of a collision of thought. Using both conscious and non-conscious pathways we are aware of our surroundings but not distracted by it. We use intuition, emotion, and spontaneous thinking to spark inspiration and insight. This is employed both in the connection with the individuals I work with as well as the compilation of pieces for the composite, intertwining and blending diverse elements and personalities. By allowing creative interplay between the camera, model, and photographer, and later the elements I bring in to the composite in processing, I leave the work itself open to interconnection and interpretation.
