Co-founded by Angela Cole and Ellen Oliver in 2017, ProviDANCE Project uses movement and friendship as a medium to bridge together different perspectives in a dynamic duo. ProviDANCE Project has performed and choreographed for the Museum of Fine Arts Boston Sound Bites Series with Jacob Richman and Amorphous Dance Collective, Southern Vermont Dance Festival, 30-30-30 at Dixon Place NYC, WAXworks NYC, Amorphous Dance Collective at the AS220 Modern Movements Festival 2017, Bearnstow Young Artists in Residency Concert, Works in Progress at AS220 in Providence, OnStage Dance Company Residencies, as well as featured artists with Natalie Johnson Dance in Somerville, MA. They have recently performed in work by New England artists including Ali Kenner Brodsky, Meghan Carmichael, and Cathy Nicoli in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Additionally, they were 2018 Young Artists in Residence with mentor Bebe Miller at Bearnstow in Mount Vernon, Maine, and they were 2018 neXt Residency choreographers at Urbanity Dance in Boston, MA. ProviDANCE Project is also collaborating and co-producing work with 3 Spice Dance in Boston and NYC. In 2019, ProviDANCE Project co-produced Temporal Paths, an evening of contemporary dance at AS220 Providence. ProviDANCE Project has hosted intermediate and advanced contemporary dance technique and composition at AS220 in Providence, RI. Angela and Ellen are 2016 graduates from Roger Williams University and Hampshire College, respectively.
