PAUL DENNIS, BFA Juilliard School, MFA SUNY, Purchase is a former member of the Limón Dance Company and Associate Professor at UMass Amherst. His career includes a 1995 White House performance, performances with Jacob's Pillow Men’s Dancers: The Ted Shawn Legacy, and an international touring Solo Concert.  He has been a guest artist at Mount Holyoke, Amherst and Hampshire Colleges, and the International Dance Association in Ravenna, CivitanovaDanza, Italy. He has restaged masterpieces of Ted Shawn, José Limón and Doris Humphrey for numerous companies including Scuola di Ballo Accademia Teatro alla Scala, The Limón Company and The Rome Opera Ballet.

Paul’s current research blends his studies in Laban Movement Analysis and dance with research in neuroscience to investigate and design movement protocols that aim to support Huntington’s disease patients; showing that dance is uniquely positioned to effect physical, emotional, sensory and cognitive change. Paul seeks to engage and educate patients, staff, and family in such designed dance program(s) to include discussion about its impact as part of the patient’s total care plan.
