Nora Stephens (b. Dublin, Ireland - she/her) is a dance artist and educator who moved to Cambridge, MA (Masachusett Land) in 2021 after many years in Brooklyn, NY (Lenape Land) and abroad. Nora has been choreographing, performing and teaching dance professionally for this whole century.

After mostly growing up in the Boston area and then leaving at 18, Nora returned in 2021 after over 20 years dancing mostly in NYC but also after several years in Mexico City, Mexico and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her dance works have been presented mostly around NYC including at Danspace Project, CPR, Movement Research at the Judson Church, Gibney, Dixon Place, The Chocolate Factory Theater and with AUNTS among others. Most recently, in Boston, her work has been shown at Praise Shadows Gallery in Brookline and at the Dance Complex and Vivid Oblivion both in Cambridge, MA.

As a performer, Nora has had the fortune of working with various choreographers over the years including Beth Soll, Emily Wexler,  Deborah Hazler (Vienna), Kim Brandt and currently Lynn Modell.

As a dance advocate, passionate about dance education, Nora has been teaching movement, yoga and performance to students of all ages for as long as she's been performing. Currently, Nora is the Theater Arts and Dance Specialist at Cambridge Montessori School, giving class and putting on shows with students from ages 2-14.

Dance is story. Dance is healing. Dance is process. Dance is change. Dance is community.
