Visitors to the New England Quilt Museum experience world-class exhibitions that reflect the international scope of textile arts and quiltmaking, past and present. Changing gallery exhibitions vary from innovative contemporary works by renowned artists to historical themes that showcase the most significant and beautifully preserved antique quilts in America. An important selection of the Museum's permanent collection of nearly 450 quilts and historical textiles is always on view.
The Museum Store features a variety of fine handcrafted items from New England artisans and international fair trade workshops. Also available are contemporary and vintage quilts in diverse styles, unique accessories, seasonal gifts and holiday items, specialty books, and quiltmaking supplies.
Thousands of books and resources are available to visitors and researchers in the NEQM reference library. Gallery talks and education programs are offered year-round. Guided tours can be scheduled in advance. The entire building is wheelchair accessible.
