Institution/Business Type: Arts Center

For artist-participants, Millers Falls Arts Bridge provides an alternative space for artists to reflect, exchange ideas and create free of distraction, supporting the development of new works, connecting artists to regional universities, museums and arts organizations, as well as organizing an annual program of exhibitions, performances and cultural events. For the community, MFAB encourages artists to engage with the region, the landscape, our neighborhoods, homes and businesses, and invites the community to participate in these arts and educational activities.

Situated at the intersection of the Connecticut River and the Mohawk Trail, Millers Falls Arts Bridge provides the opportunity for artists to immerse themselves in an inspiring natural environment. MFAB’s location, just 3 hours to NYC, 1.5 hours to Boston, and 4 hours to Montreal, also allows participating artists easy access to museums and events in three world-class cultural centers. In addition, MFAB is part of a vibrant regional arts community, which includes MassMOCA (Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art), the Williams College Museum of Art, and the five colleges (Smith, Mount Holyoke, Hampshire, Amherst, and the University of Massachusetts). The region is home to many independent artists and nearby to the flourishing arts communities of Brattleboro, Northampton, and North Adams.

By joining the creativity of artists from China, the USA and around the world with the local community, MFAB promotes understanding between people of diverse beliefs and traditions and the exploration of art as a tool for social change. MFAB seeks artists to join us in this community building activity.
