As part of her commitment to art as communication, she has curated and organized art exhibitions on large and small scales, and has written about artists and their work for her blog ArtYOP, Artscope magazine, and other publications. A New Hampshire resident, Santore welcomes commissions, studio visits, and curatorial opportunities, and is happy to give artist talks or presentations about her work.
Artist Statement: I make paintings. I love color and movement. Sometimes there’s a reference to something recognizable: an imagined place, a mythical character, an animal, an action. Sometimes there’s a more abstract reference to a motion or an emotion. These tend to be more invocation than evocation. I believe art is an act of communication between artist and viewer. No artwork is really complete without viewers bringing their own experience to their perception of a piece. So, spend time with them, let your mind wander in and around and discover things, ask yourself about a particular mark. What it would feel like to make that mark? What does this color do next to that color? Why do these lines move this way around the canvas? What do the elements on the canvas say to each other? What do you feel when you look into it? Let yourself feel those shapes in the world. Feel the emotions that this painting brings up in you.

I don't maintain a space that is open to the public, but as someone with mobility issues myself, I am sensitive to the need for access for all people and will do my best to accommodate people with disabilities during studio visits. I also make every effort to only exhibit my work in spaces that are accessible to those who use wheelchairs or have limited mobility.
