Northeast Storytelling (NEST) is dedicated to the appreciation and promotion of the art of storytelling in all its aspects: traditional, creative, educational, cultural, personal, and therapeutic. We believe that sharing stories creates understanding between people. Our purpose is to nurture family, community, and professional storytelling throughout New England and New York. A non-profit organization, NEST functions as a resource for both storytellers and the general public through our publications, conferences, and events.

Our Sharing the Fire Storytelling Conference is held each spring. As the premier storytelling conference and festival in the region, it provides hands-on training in the Art and applications of storytelling across genres and industries. We offer professional development opportunities for emerging artists, mid-career tellers, and advanced practitioners.

The Worldwide Virtual Storytelling Guild is a free service offered by NEST for anyone wanting to engage with storytelling online. We meet monthly and offer tellers the chance to share a story and receive feedback. Whether you have a story to share or would prefer to listen and respond, you are welcome.

Our Storytelling Training Video Series will help new tellers learn and practice the Art of storytelling in the privacy of their own home, on their own terms. These videos will be released in 2025.

Visit nestorytelling.org to learn more about our conference and other offerings.
