Joanne Bell

My images are meant to convey mood as well as to capture beautiful moments.  Most of my works are representational, although I sometimes use alternative techniques to enhance, to give a photograph an aged appearance, or to create abstract pieces.  I enjoy the accomplishment of telling a story that evokes emotion; of drawing the viewer into the scene.

Background:   I grew up in Ludlow, Massachusetts and now live just a few miles from my childhood home, in Wilbraham.  My photography training has consisted of various courses and workshops, along with countless hours in the field developing my skills.  I participate in juried international photography exhibitions, and also display my work in group and solo exhibits throughout western Massachusetts.
