Gustavo Casenave is a Three -Time Grammy® Winner Uruguayan/American pianist, composer and producer, with six Grammy® nominations. A Steinway Artist, “Illustrious Citizen of the City of Montevideo” (Uruguay), Two- Time “Global Awards Gold Medal Winner”, “Majestic Excellence Award 2022 Winner” at the Excellence Piano Awards International Competition and “The American Prize” composition contest winner. His Album “Fuelle y Cuerda “ produced by Audio Network won the Grammy for “Best Tango Album “ in 2020. He has performed worldwide, collaborated and recorded with artists as diverse as Yo-Yo Ma, The 12 Cellists of the Berlin Philharmonic, Bette Midler, Robert Duvall, Christian McBride, Eddie Gomez, Deepak Chopra, John Patitucci, Paquito D’Rivera, Neil Sedaca and Forever Tango among many others. He is a former Jazz Department Director at the Harbor Conservatory in NYC, and has given master classes at The Juilliard School, Oberlin Conservatory, Eastman School of Music, Yale University, Columbia University, University of Florida and New York University among others. He is a permanent faculty member at the Stowe Tango Music Festival in Vermont and is also one of the most in-demand tango pianists, arrangers and composers in the United States.
