Nationally renowned artist/illustrator/author Gordon Morrison has had a love of nature and the environment for over 35 years. Now he has shifted that passion to inspiring children to learn about and respect the natural world. In recent years he has published five children's books. They are "Bald Eagle", "Oak Tree", "Pond", "Nature in the Neighborhood", and "A Drop of Water". He has won a John Burroughs award for nature writing and several National Science Teachers Association's Awards for best science books. To accompany these books Gordon visits schools and other groups and describes how he researches and writes his books and tells about his life as a "curious naturalist"! He has illustrated over thirty nature books including several Peterson Field Guides, and "Newcomb's Wildflower Guide". He also works with Mass. Audubon and The New England Wildflower Society. He has met with overwhelming enthusiasm from teachers and students.
