Institution/Business Type: Art Studio

Hi. I’m Emily, I have worked as a graphic designer for over 17 years and a painter for my entire life. My experience and education in fine arts, commercial arts, and humanities has given me the ability to create work that reflects my life-centered ethos, focusing my design and painting on principles of empathy, creativity, and ecocentric concerns. My graphic design spans a wide range of visual realms, from branding, print, illustration, photoraphy, web and product and package design. With a focus on "Good Design that Does Good", my focus is working with companies that have a positive impact.

My painting is primarily exploring ideas of nature, in the service of a more expansive ecocentric ethics. How do we reimagine our communities to include and honor the non-human parts; the animals, plants and land itself as part of our shared whole? How can we see and honor our place as innately interwoven within larger interdependent networks? I love nature and imagining a future where we are all included in creating healthy community.
