Elizabeth Stone

Elizabeth Stone's work is figurative.  Her figures and portraits may be painted, drawn or formed in three dimensions.  Often, the human is absent and represented by clothing or an inanimate object.  She is interested in the intersection of fashion and art.

Elizabeth is primarily self-taught and enjoys teaching others.  She shows her work regionally at galleries and museums and has taught students of all ages privately, in public schools, and in arts organizations.  Elizabeth also curates exhibits in galleries and museums.  In the past decade she has advocated for the arts as a member of the Northampton Arts Council, on her weekly radio art report, as a co-director of the ArtSalon, and as a grant reviewer for various community arts programs.
