Ed Popielarczyk's Comedy Magic, balloon twisting, & Flea Circus Ring Master

My name is Ed Popielarczyk. I am a professional magician, balloon sculptor, flea circus ring master, and storyteller. I have been entertaining children and family audiences for over 40 years. 

My magic show is 45-50 minutes and uses a lot of audience participation. The kids are the stars because they make the magic happen. I usually have lots of trouble! I don’t just “do a trick” I tell a story that revolves around each trick. It may be a short story or a longer one, but each story helps to bring the trick together. 

With the balloons I make hundreds of items such as hats, animals, airplanes, cartoon characters, flowers, motorcycles, etc. I also have a flea circus. The flea circus is a great show from days gone by. It is an entire big top circus in miniature! The audience will be thrilled and amazed with Ed’s trained fleas!! I have some of the kids helping during the show by holding a flea while the flea does a stunt! The kids do a lot of cheering to give the flea’s encouragement. I was  interviewed for the September 2002 issue of Parenting magazine. I was also interviewed for the November 2008 issue of Wondertime Magazine (a Disney Publication) on what makes children laugh.

I have performed at First Night Mystic (I was there for seven consecutive years), First Night Agawam, and more recently I have performed at First Night Northampton since 2002.

I charge $375.00 for a Program. I give discounts for multiple shows. For balloon sculpting the cost is $175.00 per hour.
