Institution/Business Type: Artist / Creative (Individual)

Dave Custodio is a creative individual in pursuit of high aesthetic quality and purpose in his work.  He sculpts, Constructs, and and Designs using wood and clay as his primary materials.  Though purposefully avoiding defining terms, he has created architectural structures, performance stages, clay and wood sculoptures, wheelthrown pottery, as well as event production props and deco.  He holds a bachelors of fine arts degree from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and his profesional background ranges in the fields of layout engineering, production design, and carpentry.  Dave has been a practicing artist since his early teens and he continues to hone his aesthetic sensibilities and his technical skills and craft in his studio space in the lower Roxbury area of Boston, MA.  While he continues to develop a personal style in his work, he places a large importance on the naturally ocurring beauty of the materials that he works with.  He is careful to work in conversation with this natural beauty instead of overly imposing his will on the material.
