Institution/Business Type: Museum - Other

New London Maritime Society's Custom House Maritime Museum is your local independant community museum, telling the stories of New London's waterfront. We are Long Island Sound's lighthouse hub, with exhibitions, boat and land tours devoted to the area's historic lighthouses. In addition to the 1833 Robert Mills custom house, we are stewards to the 1801 New London Harbor Lighthouse: the oldest and tallest lighthouse on Long Island Sound, and the 1878 Race Rock Light Station (New York): an engineering marvel seven years in the building.
