The Curious Creative

Im so happy you’re here! my name is Majesty Reyes, and I’m a queer Latina artist and graphic designer from Hartford, CT. Growing up in a Puerto Rican household I’m no stranger to fierce independence and the importance of taking up space. My creativity and ambition pulls heavily from my own life observations and my experience as a queer Latina woman, with mediums ranging from graphic design to traditional painting, My artistic philosophy has always been to promote creative healing and empower individuals to discover their own magic in their personal journeys, especially if they’ve never granted themselves the space to do that in the past. It is with great pride that I introduce my business, "The Curious Creative," which encompasses my art studio where I work as a freelance painter and teach engaging paint workshops.

My dedication to art in the community extends beyond the confines of my studio. You will often find me hosting paint workshops, participating in local events as a vendor, and contributing to the vibrant art scene by painting murals in local businesses.

At The Curious Creative, I encourage a culture of boundless imagination and creativity. Rather than teaching participants to create identical artworks, I empower them to be vulnerable and independent in their healing journeys. In the Latino community, this has been an especially empowering experience, as the stigma around emotional vulnerability often conflicts with our innate desire to express ourselves authentically. It is an honor to be counted among the influential Latina leaders in Connecticut, and I am committed to making a lasting impact through my artistic endeavors.
