ARTFARM is a non-profit organization which cultivates high quality theater with a commitment to simple living, environmental sustainability and social justice. ARTFARM is dedicated to leaning into places of beauty & discord in the effort of gaining a deeper understanding of the human condition. Our work seeks spaces where community dialog & engagement guide the practice. We create professional generative performative work on topics from violence & oppression to women’s issues to race & the economic divide, to dying & death. Known throughout central Connecticut for our Generative work, our Shakespeare in the Grove productions and our Touring Environmental Circus, ARTFARM offers several touring shows and residencies. “UMBRA” is a new solo work that explores grief as a threshold to increased consciousness and the integration of the Self. “Where Are We Now?: Race, Pride, Class & Inequity” is a multi-year performative exploration of race in our communities. "Circus for a Fragile Planet" performers juggle, clown, twist, bend, unicycle, stilt and stack themselves up in an exploration of the future of the earth, the hydrosphere and our choices. "Shakespeare's Argument" introduces Shakespeare through comedy, drama, swordplay, music and selections from a dozen of Shakespeare's plays. "Isaac Newton's Little Apple Circus" is a two person show which uses circus to teach the basics of Classical Mechanics. We hold workshop space for Community Grief and leadership training for Artists as Cultural Healers. Residencies in Ensemble Created New Works, Circus, Shakespeare and Community Ritual are available.

Accessibility of Services:
ARTFARM works diligently to only work in spaces that are ADA accessible. When self-presenting, we have a 'no one turned away for lack of funds' policy and present in spaces on public bus lines. Our works are very physical and and can often cross language barriers. We view accessibility as a social justice and equity issue, and it is prime in our mission.
