Institution/Business Type: Artist / Creative (Individual)

A small editions book bindery taking private clients and teaching workshops. Working closely with clients, Antler Editions makes the project come to life. Whether the client already has a vision for the entire project or just a small idea, we take the time to see their project become a tactile object. We take pride in choosing the correct materials and printing processes for each project.

Lisa Hersey has been operating Antler Editions in the Valley for over 10 years. In 2023 she began teaching workshops directly out of her studio at Cottage Street Studios in Easthampton.

Clients include poets, printmakers, photographers, published authors, and collectors of ephemera. I have helped poets self publish their work, photographers create portfolios or deluxe editions of their work and published authors create clamshell boxes for their books. Collectors of ephemera such as post cards, or wedding memorabilia have had books made to house all their objects along with custom sized clamshell boxes.

Books and boxes are a great way to protect your items. Clamshell boxes create a sealed environment that will protect the item from weather, bug, and sun damage.

Antler Editions now offers bookbinding workshops to beginners and those with a bit of experience. Come for a group class or a private lesson. Begin your at home bookbinding journey with a stitched journals class, or get creative with one of the artist book classes, such as the tunnel books or flag books.

A private lesson is great for someone with a bit of skills already who may need more space, tools, and a bit of guidance to get their project out of their heads and onto the workbench.
