Since 2017, Abilities Dance has welcomed dancers with and without disabilities. As a Boston-based non-profit dance company, we believe in showcasing diverse bodies through our performing company and engaging with the community to teach intersectional disability rights through dance workshops, lectures, and conversations on making their spaces more inclusive. Choreography, music, audio descriptions, and costumes are created collaboratively and varies in themes from work in response to visual art in museums to stories central to the human experience. We have collaborated with organizations such as the Peabody Essex Museum, MFA, and more. 

 

We also tour our performances. Fees are negotiable and dependent on costs of travel and accommodations.

    This piece was performed at The Series: Vol IV showcase at the Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theatre. The piece was choreographed by Director Ellice Patterson in collaboration with the dancers. The central theme of the piece is feminism.
