The heart and soul of Latin band Sol y Canto's music is founders Puerto Rican/Argentine singer Rosi Amador’s expressive vocals and percussion, and New Mexican Brian Amador’s sumptuous, versatile Spanish guitar and compositions. Depending on venue size, they are often accompanied by up to four other virtuoso musicians. Described by the Boston Globe as “Boston's Pan-Latin music ambassadors” they are known for making their music accessible to Spanish- and non-Spanish speaking audiences. In the 2024-2025 season, Sol y Canto celebrates its 30th anniversary and the Amadors' 40th anniversary performing Latin music! They are marking that occasion with the release of a new album, “En tu órbita” on September 20th, 2024.
