The Sky Blue Boys

    VT

Institution/Business Type: Performing Group

With two voices, guitars, banjo, mandolin, autoharp and more The Sky Blue Boys -- Banjo Dan and Willy Lindner -- deliver a lively program of traditional and original acoustic music featuring the excitement of bluegrass, the authenticity of folk, and the exuberance of the old-time string bands. Performing throughout the Northeast for twenty-plus years the duo maintains an ever-expanding repertoire of great old ballads, vintage country numbers, Civil War-era songs, instrumentals, gospel and original songs, along with a few surprises. Their love of rural music is infectious, enabling The Sky Blue Boys to entertain successfully in venues from fairs and festivals to concert halls, coffeehouses, community centers, libraries, campuses and town parks. As of 2018 the group is also available as a trio, The Sky Blue Boys & Cookie, with the addition of the marvelous Carrie Cook on bass and vocals. "Cookie's" presence expands the repertoire and adds an additional dash of variety and spice. Please contact us for additional information on the trio.
