The Ladies read from the writings of women who lived in the period; women who made history and women who watched it unfold. These diaries and memoirs are of women who farmed, who went to sea and who worked and changed America. You may meet the extraordinary speaker, Mary Livermore; author and hostess to the Athens of America, Annie Fields; suffragist Elizabeth Cady Stanton; or cookbook and children's author, Lydia Maria Child, among others.

"... you had the audience eating out of your hand." (First Night Danbury; Danbury, CT)
