Angelina Benitez is a Boston-based dance educator and multi-disciplinary artist moving with a “signature silky, yet strong movement quality” as described by Dance Informa. Her work is focused on collaboration, improvisation, identity, and play. She holds a B.A in Modern/Contemporary Dance from Salem State University, studying with Meghan McLyman, Betsy Miller, and James Morrow. Her collegiate work was presented at Boston's American College Dance Association Conference and earned her a Presidential Arts Scholarship and a Creativity Award. Angie has worked steadily with The Click, Luminarium, and High Street Studios. Recently, her choreography has been presented at the Dance Complex as a part of The Click's BLOOM residency. Previously, she has created several collaborative works exploring queer identity, featured in The Dance Complex’s The Festival of Us, You, We & Them, the Salem Arts Festival, and Dancing Queerly.
