Institution/Business Type: Artist / Creative (Individual)

Seth Brown has been practicing wordcraft to engage audiences for over 20 years.

The short version: Humorist/Writer/Poet. I warn you the long version rambles...

Okay, click "show more", but you've been warned!

As a writer, Seth has written humor for Cracked.com, book reviews for USA Today, restaurant reviews for Fodor's Travel Guides, and over two decades of his award-winning humor column The Pun Also Rises for newspapers like the Berkshire Eagle. He is the author of seven books under his own name, as well as many more ghostwritten for clients that he can't admit to.

His poetry has appeared in various publications ranging from Journal of Moral Relativism to Red Planet Magazine. He has co-written (with Samuel Hammersley) two multi-award-winning musicals for the Orlando Fringe Festival: Simpleton and Punslingers. And Monty Python's own Eric Idle once judged him the winner of an anagram contest, which was SUPERCOOL (OOPS, LUCRE!)  He writes to entertain, but also often to convey a message.

As a performer in the pre-covid era, Seth performed poetry and comedy around the Berkshires and occasionally beyond, delighting audiences with a combination of wit, insight, and rhymes. From the High Mud Comedy Festival, to the WordXWord Festival, Seth brought the spoken word (and the occasional freestyled rap) to the people in ways which engaged audiences across the Berkshires. Today, he focuses primarily on the written word, where he finds the funny in any topic.

And modest. So modest!
