PaintBox Theatre, located in Northampton, MA, offers family audiences a unique experience. Our approach begins with a children's classic that is then adapted and re-invented by storyteller and theatre founder Tom McCabe. Add just three actors and an audience of all ages. Because there are only three players, the audience watches three adults "play" to get the story told. They share parts, help one another, compromise and cooperate - modeling the joys of unstructured play.

Now enjoying its third successful season, PaintBox Theatre offers three productions every summer in affilation with New Century Theatre, a professional theatre company in residence at Smith College.
