I work in oils to create a layered mood that pulls into balance opposing visual themes to produce an engaging abstract piece. I form depth through laying tones, soothing brushstrokes, and agitated lines resulting in a composition that pulls and pushes, deepens and flattens, excites and relaxes. I aim to explore tone, color, and line in a nonfigurative aesthetic.
