The New England Brass has been performing to enthusiastic audiences, at first in New Hampshire, and then expanding to the North East and beyond, since 1980. The musical talent of the members is an extension of the artistically rich Boston area environment. These musicians make their living as top, 1st call players occupying principal positions in many of the orchestras and ensembles in and around town. The members are also active in the commercial work available including big bands, jazz ensembles, rock/blues/funk bands and most often Broadway musical theatre. The New England Brass concert programs feature this versatility and along with outstanding musicianship have established a solid position among the finest performing brass chamber groups in the country. In addition to adult concert programming, this group has been entertaining and educating over 20,000 school children a year for the last 30 years. They blend comedy, classics and familiar melodies in addition to an informative presentation to create an exhilarating experience for the listener. The students (and teachers) always leave the concert with an incredibly high level of enthusiasm, excitement and knowledge.
