Monadnock Art/Friends of the Dublin Art Colony is a non-profit organization with a mission of celebrating the presence of the visual arts in the Monadnock Region of southwestern New Hampshire, from the artists who gathered in and around Dublin at the turn of the 19th century to the hundreds of artists who live and work throughout the region today.
Monadnock Art's Studio Tour, the Monadnock Region's oldest and largest, is held each October during the peak of the colorful Fall foliage season. The Art Tour winds through the towns surrounding Mount Monadnock: Dublin, Hancock, Harrisville, Jaffrey, Marlborough, Peterborough and Sharon. A full range and diversity of visual arts is represented by the work of the artists on the Tour. Visitors enjoy the unique experience of seeing the workplaces of painters, printmakers, potters, jewelers, sculptors, fiber artists, photographers, woodworkers, glass artists and more. Most artists offer work for sale, often specially priced for the Tour. The Tour is self-directed, and is free of charge for the interested public.
Maps and further information on the Tour, along with images of work by member artists, can be found on the Monadnock Art web site: www.monadnockart.org.
