After working for 8 years as a staff photographer at the Harvard News Office I left to start my own business. Since then my clients have included the MIT News Office, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Children's Hospital, Emerson Hospital, Massachusetts Cultural Council, the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and the Massachusetts Historical Society, among others.
I shoot portraits and events, mostly on location, capturing the warmth and energy of people at play and at work. I also shoot objects and artifacts and this work has been included in two catalogues produced by the Massachusetts Historical Society: In Death Lamented: The Tradition of Anglo-American Mourning Jewelry and The Cabinetmaker and the Carver: Boston Furniture from Private Collections.
Additionally I am a fine artist and have exhibited my work in Boston with Barbara Krakow, the Green Street Gallery, Gallery Kayafas, the DeCordova Museum and 13 Forest; in NYC with the Foley Gallery; and in Provincetown at the AMP Gallery. I received my BFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in 1996 and an MS in Digital Archives & Library Science from Simmons in 2013.
