Leslie Gabel-Brett is a playwright, poet and feminist social activist living in Connecticut. I have written a full-length play, "Woodhull/Beecher," that explores themes of sexuality, gender and power. I have published poems in Calyx, Passager, Clackamas Literary Review and The Seattle Literary Review where I won the Bentley Prize for poetry in 2002. As a member of queer and feminist communities, I am passionate about using theatre, poetry and other forms of creative expression to educate, inspire action and build community.
