Laurie Downey is a visual artist and graphic designer; she lives and works in southwestern Maine.
Much of her studio work is based on the dense woods surrounding her house and studio; she makes drawings and creates large digital images based on abstracted natural patterns.
Laurie is also a teaching artist, creating murals with students in Maine public schools through the Local Stories Project.
