HAVERHILL FIRE DEPARTMENT FIRE FIGH TING MUSEUM, INCORPORATED

Institution/Business Type: Museum - Other

The Haverhill Fire Department Fire Fighting Museum began as an idea of many of the past and current HFD firefighters and fire historical buffs in the Haverhill area. We have only been collecting for a short time for the Museum, but the collecting has actually been going on over many years. There are many avid historical collectors within the fire department and friends of the firefighters. These folks knew that the items that they had collected over the years were of particular interest to the HFDFFM and were anxious to place the items in our care. At the HFDCU’s former location, the Water Street Fire Station, many scrapbooks and photos have been collected for years and are now at the HFDCU’s new location.
