Hampshire Shakespeare Company is a 501(c)-(3) corporation founded in 1989. Its mission is to make accessible to audiences and actors a range of theatrical experiences from the most profound to the most playful. The Company brings together professional, amateur and student actors in five broad areas:

Presenting the works of Shakespeare
Developing and presenting new plays by regional playwrights
Presenting theatrical events to new audiences in non-traditional locations
Enriching private and public school programs with customized theatrical performances
Providing training and opportunities for personal growth for actors of all ages through workshops and other events
