George Middleton Art Studio

I operate from a 1500 sq. ft. studio at Western Ave, an artist community in Lowell, MA. where I display and offer my artwork to the public during monthly Open Studios, by appointment studio visits, and online with social media, my website, and other online galleries. I specialize in nature and spiritually inspired themes expressed with realism and in visionary and symbolic interpretations. I use various media, including watercolor, acrylic, oil, and digital software painting. My offerings include framed and un-framed original paintings and print reproductions.

My nature painting subjects include landscapes and seascapes of specific locations and imaginary vistas, surrealism and symbolic visionary figures, and nature oriented abstract expressions. Themes inspired by Native-Americans and the American West- particularly Wyoming, New Mexico, and Arizona, figure prominently in my paintings. 

In addition, I work collaboratively with clients as a scenic and decorative painter, a graphic artist, and as an illustrator. These projects have included art for advertising photography and film, fine art and industrial theater, trade shows, editorial and product illustration, multi-media graphic design, and murals and decorative painting and surfaces for public and private interiors.

I offer demonstrations at the studio, and commissioned art services. A speciality of mine is the creation of one of a kind spiritual icons for personal contemplation.

Finally, as a serious hobby- I am also a practicing musician with several album credits and have played to the paying public many times. This avocation helps me tremendously in the business of my work as a visual artist, underlining the paramount importance of providing excellent customer service and in an “everybody wins” approach to negotiation and collaboration.
