The Drake: Live Performance and Music Venue

  • M

    MA

Institution/Business Type: Foundation / Endowed Organization

The Drake will be Amherst MA's first-ever dedicated venue to the performing and music arts. Built, founded, funded, and run by the Downtown Amherst Foundation The Drake will be the arts and cultural economic, destination, and diversity builder to bring Amherst out of the worst of times and into a new post-pandemic future. A community builder focused on bringing diverse, intimate, and worldly artists, performers, and spectacle to the stage while complementing and supporting the small independent businesses in and around Amherst. The Downtown Amherst Foundation will create, build and support arts and culture as a change agent for economic and cultural development in the Pioneer Valley. The Drake is phase 1 of a 10-year strategic plan to increase our communities access to culture, highlight our diversity and grow our recovery for this area.
