The Connecticut Art Education Association is Connecticut's largest Association of Visual Art Educators. Made up of nearly 500 art teachers from public and private schools across the state, grades K- University levels, as well as retired art educators and museum educators. Our mission is to advance the cause of art education and art educators across Connecticut. The CAEA holds an annual Fall Conference, which is Connecticut's largest professional development activity for art teachers. We also hold regional professional development workshops, an annual Spring Retreat for our leaders, and we sponsor the Annual Scholastic Art Awards Competition and the annual Youth Art Celebration Exhibit. We publish a quarterly journal VISIONS, our professional art education magazine for our members. We are an affiliate of the National Art Education Association.
