Blaze is a modern dance group, directed by Krisen Day, dedicated to the process of making dance for performance via personal, political, scientific and social experience and research. Blaze revels in the joy of performance and movement creation and celebrates the role of dance in the public’s life. It allows for the invention of and exposure to new techniques, and provides a variety of classes, demonstrations, conversations, and performances to its home city as well as to the communities it visits. Through its work, Blaze is committed to facilitating friendship, awareness, creativity, education, and health within the realm of dance.
