The museum's mission is to preserve the 1750 parsonage of the Rev. Adonijah Bidwell and collections acquired by Jack Hargis and David Brush. The museum fosters and expanded appreciation of the decorative and applied arts. The restored parsonage, outbuildings, gardens and acreage also serve as an educational platform where restoration, preservation, artifact conservation, open space management and landscape design can be studied.
