The mission of Berkshires Jazz, Inc. is to preserve Jazz, America’s indigenous art form and nurture its growth by presenting high quality jazz programs, fostering jazz education and promoting the local jazz scene.

Berkshires Jazz, Inc. was established as a 501c3 non-profit organization in 2009 by the committee that had been organizing the Pittsfield CityJazz Festival, which started in 2005. In addition to the festival, the all-volunteer Board oversees year-round programming of live events, as well as conceptualizing and executing vaious jazz education programs in Berkshire County, Massachusetts.
