I am an experimental origami artist focusing on geometric designs. My studies have a strong overlap with STEAM instruction, allowing students to understand complex mathematical concepts in a hands-on way that connects with students who don't respond to traditional learning as easily.
In my work, I try to bring audiences to understand what is possible with a single, uncut sheet of paper. In my classes, I try to bring students to understand how a single, uncut sheet of paper can be used to analyze the world around us.

Origami is an excellent activity for students with alternative learning styles (ADHD, ASD, etc.). I've noticed that students who do not respond to traditional learning tend to understand origami lessons well and are engaged.
Origami can be offered as a visual activity, allowing deaf/hard-of-hearing students to succeed. Since it's a tactile activity, I have worked with blind/low-sighted students to help them create origami models as well.My studio is wheelchair accessible.Teaching Settings:
