Arts in Reach (AIR) is an out-of-school arts program in southeastern New Hampshire and Maine that inspires teenage girls and gender-expansive youth to be brave, elevate their voices, and create the lives they imagine.

All programs are offered at no cost, include transportation, and are led by professional teaching artists. Our teens make cool art, have fun, share an open and creative space, and build lasting friendships!

With a cheerful expression, a teenager looks directly at the camera while skillfully attaching a string to a handcrafted arrangement of paper, resembling a "quilt."
Two smiling teenagers grasp each other's hands joyously. One, with medium-length hair, is suspended on a purple aerial silk in midair, gazing downward at the other teen. The second teenager boasts long brunette hair and wears a pink shirt.
Graced with a smile, a glasses-wearing teenager flaunting long brown hair meticulously traces a portion of a bucket hat pattern onto vibrant lime green fabric.
A teenager with flowing brunette hair strums a bass guitar in shades of black and brown, while a second teen sporting long red hair and a strawberry-themed cardigan gazes upon the instrument with interest.
Clad in a white shirt, a teenager with short blonde hair wears a smile as they grasp a partially carved linoleum block. This block is destined to produce patches once printed.
Engaged in crafting terrariums, three individuals share smiles. Among them are two residents from Riverwoods and an Arts In Reach teenager, all collaborating with enthusiasm.
In the Summer of 2023, a gathering consisting of approximately 17 teenagers and staff members from AIR proudly display certificates and photographs outdoors, marking their successful completion of Storycamp.
Onstage, a pair of teenagers captivates the audience: one strums a ukulele and lends their voice to a song, while the other skillfully handles a cello, creating a harmonious duet.
Cassie Brazeau, an AIR Teaching Artist with brunette hair and a warm smile, proudly displays a informative poster she designed to impart embroidery techniques!
