AMHERST COLLEGE - PRATT MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY

  • M

    MA

Institution/Business Type: Museum - Other

We are a museum of natural history with permanent exhibits featuring paleontological, mineralogical and geological materials. The Pratt Museum is best known for its collection of dinosaur tracks from the Connecticut River Valley, the largest such collection in the world. Our primary goal is to serve the students of Amhest College, but we also strive to be a resource to professional researchers and the local community. The Pratt Museum closed on March 1, 2004 to begin the packing process that precedes our move to a new building on campus. The new natural history museum at Amherst College will open in the Spring of 2006. Admission is free.
